AOR Advantage
Holy basil extracts differ in chemical constituents depending on if the seed part or leaf part is used. AOR uses an extract from India of wildcrafted Holy Basil leaves.

Ocimum tenuiflorum (also known as Ocimum sanctum, tulsi or holy basil) is a medicinal plant with a long history of traditional use in India and in Ayurvedic medicine. Traditionally, holy basil was used to treat everything from diarrhea, and dysentery, colds, and cardiovascular concerns. This is likely due to Holy basil’s numerous active constituents including tannins, phenolic compounds and flavonoids which are responsible for its anti microbial, antispasmodic, analgesic, adaptogenic, and cardioprotective activities.
Today, holy basil is mainly used as an adaptogen to help increase energy and resistance to stress (in case of mental and physical fatigue related to stress.)
